I’m a twenty-something baker from Northern California who just loves food. I have been a vegetarian for about 10 years, though I will occasionally eat fish. I grew up in the kitchen, baking away with my mom and my two older sisters. Some of my fondest memories of my childhood center around fiddling about with our favorite family recipes. One important thing to know about me: I loathe mushrooms. And I can be pretty picky. Being a picky vegetarian makes eating out somewhat difficult, so I love to cook at home.
After getting my undergraduate degree from Humboldt State University, I went to culinary school and completed a certificate in baking & pastry to pursue my passion for baking & food. I have worked in the industry at various locations and I just loved getting to bake every darn day. I am currently taking a break from the hustle and bustle of baking professionally, but I hope to have a business of my own someday.
I have been with my boyfriend, Nevin, for almost 10 years (!!!). We started dating our senior year in high school and have been together ever since (cue barf emoji). He’s my best friend, biggest fan and favoritest tester of all things food. We are moving to Pittsburgh for him to pursue a phD program in Pollination Biology at the end of July 2018. Big adventures to come!
